I already joined a few of her single online classes for the Sabbats. I enjoyed getting new ideas for rituals, DIYs, recipes and more information on the Sabbat itself. Due to that and watching her You Tube videos, I played with the idea of taking part on one of her retreats. Therefore, I decided going to the Samhain Retreat. At first, I was a bit skeptical if it would be something for me. Normally I am not an open person, especially not with my emotions but I wanted to learn more about practicing the craft and the experience being part of a witch group. A group that does rituals and other witchy exercises together. A group with fellow witches who doesn’t judge, who listens, who gives advices and who enjoys being silly. Getting such a group together and leading it the way that everyone feels included, is not an easy task. Bex did that. She could make everyone feel welcome. She leads those retreats in a serene, sensitive and calm but fun way. After that week, we all felt like a coven, not just a group of participants. We gained so much new perspectives and insights of ourselves and from the others. It really felt magical and was a fun experience, especially our bonfire shenanigans 😃. The attention to detail (everything from the welcoming sign on the door to the gazillion delicious home-baked cakes, and a goody-bag full of herbs and magic), the warmth and acceptance, the spectacularly delicious vegan food, the location enveloped by forest and adorned with mammoth crystals, the fun, practical yet thoughtful activities, and of course the company of an extraordinary group of people was an incredible treat!
